Waycom Limited was set up in October 2013 to provide a range of customised services to help organisations communicate and connect with diverse ethnic communities within New Zealand and in the Pacific. Waycom appreciates that ethnic communities such as Pacific, Maori and Asian require a unique and culturally appropriate approach for engagement and communications. We therefore have a network of consultants and contractors from a diverse range of ethnic communities that we work alongside as required. Waycom appreciates establishing, nurturing and maintaining ongoing relationships within ethnic communities is critical for meaningful community engagement and consultation. Waycom is committed to building capacity and capability within ethnic and diverse communities. We therefore, also look for opportunities to recruit and mentor, young people from diverse ethnic backgrounds to work across varied projects and to provide exposure to research, community engagement and events management.
Waycom has an extensive list of Pacific and non-Pacific contractors with a range of skills and expertise when required for specific projects. Waycom also has a network of experienced range of ethnic interviewers and ethnic community leaders that are customised to each project and target audience. Waycom also seeks to continually expand and build its network of suppliers and contractors to create a stronger variety of support and expertise to work with.
Waycom was established by Yvonne Timaloa who is the director and main principal of Waycom and brings a wealth of experience from working with clients in the commercial, government and non-government sectors that seek to connect and engage with mainly Pacific communities in New Zealand and in the Pacific.
